Financial Woes????
Financial problems can happen to
anyone, regardless of income, and can range from minor budgeting to
major concerns that threaten bankruptcy. They may stem from a sudden
loss of income, unexpected expenses or uncontrolled spending.
Unfortunately, financial difficulties frequently aggravate existing
problems and create new ones.
The following
test may help you decide whether or not you might need a referral
for budget counseling, money management, credit problems or personal
counseling.
-
Do you pay only the minimum, or
less, on your credit cards each month?
-
Are you sometimes late or unable to
make payments?
-
Do you juggle bills to keep up the
minimum monthly payments on credit cards?
-
Are you unable to make ends meet on
your current salary?
-
Have you reached the credit limit on
your credit cards?
-
Do you borrow for items you once
bought with cash?
-
Are you paying late fees?
-
Are you having arguments with your
spouse about money problems?
-
Do you spend money to cheer your
self up?
-
Are you being confronted by
creditors about overdue bills?
-
Have you taken money from your
savings account to pay your credit card bills?
-
Are you feeling overwhelmed about
how to budget your money?
Scoring the
Interpretation: If you answered “yes” to 4 or more
of these questions you may have a serious debt, credit or personal
overspending problem. Maybe you only need a good budget “tune-up” or
maybe you need help dealing with creditors. You are not alone.
