Welcome to Dianne Hoff's School Law Moodle! The purpose of this Web site is to provide a forum for discussing contemporary legal issues facing school leaders. I encourage you to post a scenario that you are facing or some area of the law of interest to you. Please do not use your school's name or the name of any people involved in the scenario! In fact, if you are fearful that your post might give a clue to the participants, feel free to e-mail the scenario to me (dianne.hoff@umit.maine.edu), and I will post it for you!

For each scenario or question raised, I will post insights, and I hope others will chime in with their own experiences, expertise, and questions. This moodle is not designed to provide legal advice, but the posted replies should help everyone make legally defensible decisions.
