Since 2001, The Future Teachers'
Academy (FTA) has continued to combine dynamic staff with exceptional
students from Maine and metropolitan New York City to create experiences
that set the standard for recruitment and retention of aspiring teachers
from diverse backgrounds.
"FTA is such an amazing experience.
Participants get the unique opportunity to make fast and lasting
friendships with talented students from all over the
state while learning and preparing for post-secondary education.
Attending the Academy was one of the best decisions I made during
high school. I made
some great friends and connections, had a ton of fun, learned more
than I could have imagined, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
I would highly recommend FTA to anyone who is considering
education as a profession."
