Reading Recovery (RR) in Maine

Professional Development

Reading Recovery is more than a "program". It is a cost-effective long term investment in professional development for teachers. It builds teacher knowledge in literacy learning and teaching. Reading Recovery teachers offer superbly designed lessons to meet the individual needs of the lowest literacy learners.

In this long-term, sustainable model of professional development, Reading Recovery teachers are supported by Teacher Leaders and Trainers on an ongoing basis.
