Penquis Research Cooperative
[-Back to Research-]

The Penquis Research Cooperative is a collaborative endeavor between the College and the Penquis Superintendents' Association, representing 21 school districts. Its goal is to link researchers and practitioners to meet the needs of Maine students by producing papers and providing other resources to increase understanding of issues that impact education in the Penquis (Penobscot and Piscataquis counties) region and the state.

The Cooperative supports and shares research to give school leaders a proactive voice in shaping educational policy. In 1997-98, the Cooperative focused largely on the timely topic of performance-based local assessment.
