The Physics Education Research Laboratory spearheads initiatives to promote research-based, technology-enhanced teacher training, interactive instruction, and a continuing support network for Maine physical science teachers. The lab helps pre-service and practicing teachers develop scientific reasoning skills to apply basic physical science concepts to classroom instruction and offers outreach to help educators develop materials and methods to meet state and national science standards.
