FORESTRY SCHOLARSHIPS
Over $130,000 in scholarships were awarded in the spring of 2005 to students majoring in forestry (FTY), forest operations science (FSC), forest ecosystem science (FES), parks-recreation-tourism (PRT), and wood science (WSC). All students in these majors are eligible to apply for these awards. Financial need is a requirement for some awards, but not all. Students with the higher grade point average will likely receive a higher award total. Awards usually range from $350 to $7,000.
Incoming, first year students DO NOT need to complete a Forestry Scholarship Application! You will be automatically considered for awards as soon as you have filed a completed a University admissions application. You should still complete other financial aid information that will qualify you for other University and government awards.
Currently enrolled students need to complete a special application. Scholarship applications are now available. Click here for a copy of THIS YEAR's Forestry Scholarship Application Form . This form is due in room 101 or 201 by March 1, 2006. You can also apply for College scholarships by downloading and completing the College Scholarship Form. This application is due in Room 106 Winslow on March 1, 2006.
Please Note: In order to qualify for awards that are granted to students with financial need, you will need to complete a FAFSA form on the web or place it in the mail by February 14, 2006!
