Welcome. Soon you will join a select group of students who will
start their first year at the University of Maine, the state's largest
institution for higher learning. We wish you the best this year
and the years that follow, and hope
you will take advantage
of the many activities, programs and services that can help to make your
time at UMaine as fulfilling as possible.
This First-Year Student Guide is designed to answer key questions you
might have upon preparing for your arrival to campus, as well as those
questions you might have on and beyond the start of classes on Sept. 2.
While much of this information will be explored during Orientation, feel
free to bookmark this page as a reference tool for the future.
