FLAME CONFERENCE 2008

			   March 6 and 7

November 26, 2007

	In the spring of every year, the Foreign Language Association of Maine 
(FLAME) holds a FLAME Conference for foreign language educators throughout 
the state. This conference is the only annual state-wide professional 
development event for teachers of foreign languages at the elementary, 
secondary, and university levels. Last year, over 400 teachers attended this 
successful conference.

	On behalf of the FLAME Conference Planning Committee, I would like to 
invite you to participate as an exhibitor at the 2008 Flame Conference to be 
held at the Holiday Inn By The Bay in Portland, ME. The conference will 
consist of a pre-conference workshop on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 
3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a conference on March 7, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 
3:00 p.m. Time will be provided within the conference schedule for conference 
participants to visit the exhibit area. Teachers who attended last year’s 
conference expressed an interest in purchasing student incentives, books and 
music in their target languages. We are now accepting vendor reservations 
on a first-come first-served basis.

	Each exhibitor will be provided with table(s) available for set up on 
Thursday after 2 PM. The Holiday Inn will have a security guard on duty, but 
not specifically for the exhibitor area. If you are unable to set up on 
Thursday, we ask that you be set up and ready to go by 7:30 a.m. Friday 
morning. 

Please note: materials cannot be shipped in advance, as the Holiday 
Inn does not have storage space available. Also, we are unable to return 
shipments.

	If you are interested in participating as an exhibitor at the FLAME 
Conference, please return the enclosed form with your check or money order 
(made payable to FLAME) by January 25, 2008. 

When you arrive at the conference, we will provide you with a ticket for Friday‘s lunch.                            
Also, should you wish to sponsor an event, please indicate such on the form 
attached.
