Support for Collaboratives
One of the stated goals of the Foreign Language Association of Maine is to
promote and improve the teaching and study of foreign languages and cultures.
To that end, the FLAME Board would like to foster the growth of local
collaboratives. The Board believes that collaboratives are able to provide:
 | mentoring and support for new teachers; |
 | a venue for sharing information, strategies and creative ideas; |
 | support for teachers who are writing common assessments. |
Therefore, the FLAME Advisory Board has decided to make funds available to
collaboratives. Each collaborative may receive up to $25 per meeting for up to
four meetings per year. In order to receive these funds, a representative of
the collaborative will need to:
 | submit minutes to the FLAME webmaster to be posted on the collaborative
web page: mmesorciere@msn.com. |
 | send a brief report to the FLAME Advisory Board. (Please copy the table
below and mail the information requested to FLAME, P.O. Box 207, Augusta, ME
