Welcome to the University Flying Club, Inc!
The University Flying Club is an organization that provides an affordable means for University of Maine students, affiliates, and pilots to pursue flight training and to have access to an airplane. Our meetings take place at the University of Maine campus every month, and we also host private pilot ground schools, FAA Wings Seminars, and other events throughout the year.
We currently own and operate a Cessna 152 (N4916B) with a Garmin GPS system, based at Bangor International Airport (BGR). The charge rate for the airplane is $55/hr tachometer time including fuel.

Flying Members
Flying members pay a monthly fee of $25 to offset fixed expenses such as hanger fees and insurance. They are also given access to an online scheduler where they can schedule time for the airplane at their convenience.
Non-Flying Members
If you are not ready to fly but would still like to be involved with the club, you may join as a non-flying member for free. The number of non-flying members allowed is unlimited, therefore there is no waiting list.
Instructors
The University Flying Club works closely with instructors to ensure quality flight training. Members can find there own instructor, or we can provide contact information for Club instructors. Anyone who would like to be an instructor for the club or knows of someone who would like too, please contact one of the officers.
