ANT 424 Narrative

Considers narrative and storytelling as universals in human culture including definitions and distinctions (myths, legends, history, story, truth, fiction), uses and functions, performance and creativity. Illustrative material drawn from a variety of cultures, including Native American groups. Prerequisite: ANT221 or permission of instructor.
