Story Bank

At Story Bank, we think the stories of people & their places are the most interesting of all. Join us this summer, to find out more about collecting,  documenting and presenting these traditions at Story Bank Training. Sponsored by the Maine Folklife Center and Cultural Resources Inc., the four- day institute will train you to collect, document and present local stories.

Each day, participants will learn fieldwork techniques, audio and video recording, digital photography, archiving and developing public presentations based on narratives. A team of documentary specialists and folklorists will guide you through the ethnographic process as well as basic documentary techniques.
