The Maine Humanities Council also provided funding for our work with the former employees of the Eastern Fine Paper Company in Brewer, Maine.

The City of Brewer provided meeting space and refreshments for our initial meetings with the workers of Eastern Fine. These meetings helped identify many of the workers we eventually interviewed for the Women in Maine’s Paper Industry project.

Our special gratitude goes to all of the workers and their families, who agreed to meet with us, tell their stories and provided additional resources such as photographs and documents.
