Physics Doctoral Student, Kevin Roberge Serves as Camp Director of Space & Energy Camp at UMaine

Kevin Roberge, a doctoral Physics student is the Camp Director for the first Space and Energy Summer Camp here at UMaine, which was organized by the Department of Astronomy and Physics. Roberge hopes that the week-long camp will spark an interest in studying science. The Space and Energy Camp was also featured on WABI (Channel 5).

Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering Student, Abolfazl Razi Awarded Best Paper

Electrical and Computer Engineering doctoral student, Abolfazl Razi won the best paper award at the 4th Annual CANEUS/IEEE International Fly-By-Wireless (FBW '11) Conference held in Montreal, Quebec this June. His paper titled, "Interference Reduction in Wireless Passive Sensor Networks Using Directional Antennas", was chosen from a field of 38 entries. -
Jason Bolton in Good Shepherd Food Bank Story

Comments from UMaine Cooperative Extension Food Safety Specialist and UMaine doctoral student in Food & Nutrition Science, Jason Bolton are included in a Lewiston Sun Journal story about Maine’s Good Shepherd Food Bank. As it turns 30 years old, Good Shepherd Food Bank is evolving in its work to meet the needs of Mainers. One possibility is an investment in food processing equipment for use in its Mainers Feeding Mainers program.
