Clutter: An Exhibition of Junk and Stuff

Posted December 8, 2010

Ten students will be featured in Clutter: An Exhibition of Junk and Stuff on Friday, December 10th from 5 - 7:30 pm at 29 Broad Street in Bangor.  The exhibition is open for one night only in an unused storefront courtesy of Bill and Lisa Chaplain who agreed to allow the students to use the space.  The exhibition will showcase the artists ideas, thoughts and feelings of what "clutter" means to them.  Master of Fine Arts in Intermedia student Allison Melton said of the exhibition,  “an idea comes from the brain, previous experiences, and you sift through them and that’s how we came up with the idea of clutter.”

The free exhibition is in collaboration with the University of Maine New Media Department. Refreshments will be served and local musicians will be performing electronic music compositions throughout the night.  For information, e-mail Allison Melton at allison.melton@maine.edu.
