DEADLINE EXTENDED: 2014 Graduate Student Photo & Video Contests Open

The UMaine Graduate School solicits photo submissions for Graduate Student Photography Contest. The contest is open to all UMaine graduate students and will include prizes for 1st place ($100), 2nd place ($50), and 3rd place ($25) in each of three categories: grad student life, grad student research, and grad student teaching. The submission deadline has been extended to Tuesday, March 25, 2014.  For more information, see the guidelines and submission information.

Also, new in 2014 is the first Grad Talks: Graduate Student Videography Contest. The contest is open to all UMaine graduate students and will include prizes for 1st place ($100), 2nd place ($50), and 3rd place ($25).  Videos should be 2 minutes (120 seconds) long and should explain to a general audience what the student does as a graduate students - this could be research, service, or teaching.  Any video technique may be used (film, animation, etc.). The submission deadline has been extended to Tuesday, March 25, 2014.  For more information, see the guidelines and submission information.
