UM's School of Policy and International Affairs Travels to UAE for Two Day Conference

A two-day conference entitled "Islam and the West: A Civilized Dialogue" was held on May 16-17, 2011 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and organized by The University of Maine's School of Policy and International Affairs (SPIA), and The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research.  The conference was designed to improve mutual understanding and communication between Islamic and Western cultures, and is highlighted on the website of The National, the Abu Dhabi Media company's first English-language publication.  The School of Policy and International Affairs (SPIA), is a unit of the Graduate School.  For photos of the event, visit SPIA's website.
