Inactive chapters are chapters that have either lost their charter on campus or has simply gone inactive. The University of Maine has many Inactive chapters including numerous local interest groups and secret societies. Just because a chapter is considered a Inactive chapter doesn't mean they are gone completely. Several chapters have recently rejoined the ranks, including Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Tau Delta, and Phi Gamma Delta.
