Immunization Law

The state of Maine requires all students born after 1956 to furnish proof of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria. Proof of immunization must be on file at Cutler Health Center prior to finalization of registration. Students should forward proof of immunization to the Immunization Office at 5721 Cutler Health Center, Orono, Maine 04469-5721 (Fax 207-581-3997) as soon as possible after notification of admission. Failure to provide documentation of immunization status will result in classes being dropped. For further information, call 581-4005 or visit the website www.cutlerhealth.umaine.edu.

Medical Insurance

Medical insurance is available for domestic students.  You can obtain enrollment forms from Cutler Health.

International students are required to have medical insurance coverage under the University of Maine Student Health Insurance Program or equivalent provided by a sponsoring agency. 581-4185 (Voice menu).
