My field of research is modern Europe with emphasis in intellectual
history, international relations, and the connections between the two. I
define Europe within the context of world history and strive for a
reflective understanding of the historical practice. I teach the
European survey as well as advanced and graduate courses in
international affairs, globalization, the history of theory, and
methodology.
