Hourly Wage: $12.17

Position is available to employees of the Associated C.O.L.T. Staff of the University of Maine from 06-27-08 through 07-03-08 and open to external applicants thereafter.

Description:

Full-time, regular position, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.  Daily work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Position is contingent on funding.  Occasional evening work required.  Employee supports the Umaine Cooperative Extension collaborative parent education programs.  Employee directs walk in clients and telephone requests; creates and maintains complex client databases; processes confidential information; collects and distributes monies, makes bank deposits, prepares purchase orders, reconciles budgets and expense statements; develops layout and production of newsletters, pamphlets and brochures; assists in maintenance of web pages; and helping volunteers.  Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite including Access and Excel required.   Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.  Demonstrated editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize required.   Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.  To apply please submit a current application along with a cover letter and resume relating qualifications and skills applicable to the duties specified above.  A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Maine driver’s license with the ability to travel with reliable transportation are required.
