Orientation
Each new employee is expected to attend a full-day orientation. Sessions are held each month and details on the starting time and location of your session will be provided in your appointment letter from the University.

New Employee Orientation is intended to cover a variety of topics which will both introduce the employee to the University's policy and procedures as well as the many benefits and opportunities available at UMaine.

- Covers the basics on how employees are paid, the features of the MaineStreet system for employees and the proper procedures for reporting time.

- The University provides a broad benefit plan. This session explains the various options for health plans, retirement savings and tuition benefits at the University
