Performance Reviews
The Board of Trustees and the Chancellor have directed all University of Maine System campuses to submit an annual report regarding employee performance reviews. If you are an employee and did not receive a performance review last year, please know that you can expect to have your performance reviewed during this fiscal year. If you supervise other employees, you have probably already received a reminder of the importance of completing a review of the employee(s) who report to you.
Supervisors of hourly paid employees receive reminders from Human Resources approximately sixty days before the scheduled date of the performance review.
Salaried employees should be evaluated by their supervisor based on the following schedule:
- Probationary employees: Prior to their initial six months of employment and at least every six months for the remainder of the probationary period.
- Employees who have completed a probationary period: Annually, normally, preceding the employee’s anniversary of employment.
