Donna M. Brown
Finance Manager, Auxiliary Services

Donna Brown began her career at the University of Maine in July 1983 as a Bookkeeper for what was then Residential Life.  She then moved on to the Maine Agricultural Experiment Station as a Senior Records Technician and then was promoted to Supervisor of Accounts. From there she moved to the Alumni Association as an Accounting Supervisor for before returning to Auxiliary Services to work in Dining Services.  In 1997 she was promoted to Accounting Operations Supervisor and then finally she was asked to take on the responsibility of Manager of Finance for Auxiliary Services. In her present position she supervises 4 staff and oversees the TimeTrak management system, Catering billing, Procurement Card module, Purchasing practices, Traveling practices and works closely with over 14 different budgets.

Wherever Donna has worked, she has always taken the initiative to help improve efficiency. She has been on the leading edge many times; implementing a Conference Service assignment package, a new time management system that would interface with the PeopleSoft and has become an early resident expert in the PeopleSoft payroll system.  In 2004, she received the Division’s Star Award that exemplifies dedication and service to the University community. 

Besides performing the various tasks and assignments during her 25 year career, Donna has always shone professionalism and dedication to the University and has been a leader in Auxiliary Services. She also has been involved in many committees’ over the years such as; RFP Committees, Focus Group Sessions, Fit Gap sessions for preparation of PeopleSoft, Student Advisory Committee (currently still seating), Supervisor/Confidential Employees Advisory Council (Chaired for two terms 2000-2002). 

We thank Donna for all she does and will do as she continues her great career at the University.  Congratulations on achieving 25 years of service!
