Constance Clements
Administrative Assistant I
Cooperative Extension

Connie Clements started working for the Waldo County office of Cooperative Extension in 1989 as a 4-H consultant.  Connie’s extensive knowledge of the county, its people, and particularly its farms, made it easy for her to personally meet and greet the public.

Connie’s first exposure to Cooperative Extension was through what seniors fondly call ‘Extension’ as in, “I’m a member of Extension.”  Leadership at all levels of Cooperative Extension is part of Connie’s portfolio.  In addition to the many years dedicated to 4-H volunteerism, Connie was also the Chair of the Waldo County Extension Homemakers Council and member and president of the Waldo County Extension Association Executive Committee.

Many citizens credit her tireless work while Executive Committee President to the successful passing of the county bond issue that built the Waldo County office some 22 years ago! Connie has seen and done it all, while, at the same time, doing endless hours of volunteer work with other organizations such as the Rebekahs and helping her husband operate the family’s business, Clements Dairy Farm.

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension proudly says 'thank you' for your service as an employee and your nearly 50 years of outstanding commitment to the University community.  We wish you a wonderful retirement.
