Elaine Dolley started her career with University of Maine Cooperative Extension in 1982 as a secretary for the Kennebec County office.  While Elaine’s responsibilities have evolved over the years to match the needs of changing staffing patterns, programs, policies, technologies and facilities, she has readily adapted to meet the challenges.

Her knowledge of Extension and its organizational history has benefited both the faculty and the citizens of Kennebec County.  Elaine has always gone out of her way to provide assistance in a respectful and courteous manner.  In addition to her usual responsibilities of maintaining financial records, creating reports, organizing mailing lists, corresponding with stakeholders and managing databases, Elaine has shown real talent and enthusiasm for graphic arts projects such as developing professional looking displays and printed materials. 

Whenever county faculty, executive board members and program participants wanted to know “how something is done”, they knew they could count on Elaine for an accurate and timely explanation.  Elaine’s enthusiasm and the continuity she has given the office over the past 26 years will be missed. 

Cooperative Extension and the University of Maine wishes Elaine happiness and fulfillment in retirement and all her future endeavors.
