Wendy Legg Pollock
Extension Educator, Oxford County
Extension Professor

On behalf of the University and Cooperative Extension, we thank you for the years of service you have given as an Extension Educator. Throughout your career you have demonstrated a willingness to engage in a variety of program initiatives that drew upon your background, skills and diverse interests in Family & Consumer Sciences.

Over the years your contributions in the areas of nutrition, family resource management, small and home based business and support of families in transition were well received by your clientele. Your work in our nutrition education program serving lower income youth and families, your support of the Maine Senior Companion program and your program pioneering leadership in working with clients with special dietary needs such as diabetes education were deeply appreciated.

Your ongoing relationships with and unconditional support of the Extension Homemakers have inspired them to continue their engagement with Extension in their communities. Your ability to address the hundreds of consumer calls referred to you and your willingness to serve as part of the State Food Safety backup network in Extension contributed to our clients believing they could always trust you and Extension for timely, practical and credible information.

We wish you well in this next phase of your life, Wendy, and trust that your continuing love of Civil War era quilting and affection for cats will lead you to new and exciting pursuits for many years to come.
