Inge Winslow
Administrative Assistant II
Student Aid
Inge Winslow started at the University of Maine 28 years ago as a Clerk Typist in the Financial Aid Office. During her UMaine career, she changed job titles numerous times, had six different supervisors, endured three total relocations of the Financial Aid Office and survived endless software program “enhancements”. She has handled change and so called “innovation” with ease and was as electronically adept as many of the students who passed through our office.
Inge’s work ethic, accuracy, judgment, organizational skills and reliability led to her becoming a critical “go to” person for loan questions throughout the campus. Her former supervisors credit her with teaching them a great deal about loans--especially about the processing details that can’t be found in the regulations.
To say that we will miss Inge, and her great taco salad, is an understatement!! The University of Maine thanks you, Inge, for truly making a difference. We hope that you enjoy your retirement as much as we enjoyed having you here with us at the University of Maine. Best wishes!!
