Angel Hildreth
Administrative Assistant I
Chemical & Biological Engineering
Angel has spent 12 of her 25 years at the University of Maine in the Chemical & Biological Engineering Department. Angel performs all of the normal duties one would expect in her position in a professional and efficient manner. These include dealing with undergraduate and graduate students for registration, add/drop, and general questions and help, processing mountains of purchases and assisting faculty with day-to-day issues. The department also has a fairly large volume of walk in traffic, and Angel is the first point of contact. Angel is adept at dealing with the many different people she encounters, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, visitors and vendors.
Angel wears many other hats in the department, including real estate agent, tour guide, personal shopper, and bargain hunter extraordinaire. The department frequently hosts visiting scientists who come for periods of time ranging from a couple of months to a year or more. Angel helps them to find housing, become familiar with the area, and gives great tips on shopping for essentials. When it comes to purchasing, Angel excels at hunting down bargains, coupons and rebates, which saves the department considerable amounts of money. If there is a bargain to be had, Angel will find it and she will probably have a coupon for it too!
Congratulations, Angel, on your 25 years of service milestone!
