The public trusts and looks to Cooperative Extension to be a source of timely, credible and practical information to improve their lives or businesses. Merrilie Albert is a rare individual who has given so much of her life to serve and further Cooperative Extension’s mission in the Androscoggin-Sagadahoc Counties region.

In her clerical support role she has worked with many Extension faculty who have learned that an effective office operation depends heavily on the positive spirit, attitude and competence of its support staff. Merrilie has been the friendly and accessible face of Cooperative Extension and the University of Maine for many Maine citizens. She has worked with diverse clientele who came to appreciate her friendly approach to finding just the right resource or piece of information that made someone’s life a little better. Her willingness to be of help, always doing her best, exemplified the spirit of Cooperative Extension.

For your 22 years of dedication and hard work in support of Extension’s outreach to residents in your area, thank you, Merrilie, for representing the University of Maine so well. We will miss you!
