Bonnie Myers
Custodian II
Facilities Management
Bonnie Myers joined the Custodial staff over 13 years ago. Over the career at the University of Maine, she has been responsible for cleaning several different buildings – Corbett Hall, Murray Hall, Dunn Hall, University Credit Union, and the Service Building, to name a few. In all these buildings Bonnie has demonstrated that she is a conscientious employee who takes pride in her work.
In the Service Building and in Corbett Hall Bonnie was considered family. She was genuinely concerned about her building’s occupants and always wanted to please. She kept these buildings clean and well-cared for, even in during snow and mud season. Bonnie was always one to go beyond what was necessary and put in the extra effort and time when preparing for special events or conferences. Her many letters of appreciation acknowledge her diligence and attention to detail.
Bonnie worked tirelessly to make her areas practically sparkle, always striving for the immaculate – no dust, no smudges, no dirt, anywhere. It is a testament to her strong work ethic and energy level that no one has yet been able to continuously keep Corbett Hall up to snuff since she left.
On the personal side, Bonnie is very fond of Bingo. In fact, some might say she is obsessed, but she has a good time and is still striving for that “score big” at the Penobscot Bingo games. One of these days, we hope she will make it big.
Bonnie, thank you so much for the great work you have done for the University of Maine. The positive impressions you have generated are appreciated and your friendliness and caring will be missed by all those who have worked with you. We wish you a wonderful retirement.
