Alan is an exemplary employee who has been loyal, conscientious, and hardworking. For many years he handled and mailed Cooperative Extension publications to the sixteen State of Maine county offices. Alan did an excellent job keeping these publications in order and his experience and knowledge were greatly appreciated by the many people he assisted.

The Mail Service was grateful for Alan’s vast knowledge of postal rules and regulations and how well he assisted the University Community in all aspects dealing with mail. He has been the personification of what an Assistant Supervisor should be in handling Mailroom activities. Alan has always been ready to lend a helping hand. He could be depended upon to answer all inquiries in an effective and efficient manner. He is very personable and has always been willing to assist our customers in any way he could. He efficiently assisted in processing large volumes of incoming and outgoing mail plus all campus mail.

Alan also is a member of the Graduate “M” Club and Penobscot Fly Fishing. He enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and many other sporting activities.

Alan, you have been a real asset to the University of Maine and the Mail Service and a very valued employee. Printing and Mail Service thank you for your dedicated service and your
36 ½ years of outstanding commitment to the University of Maine. You will be missed. The University of Maine wishes you a very happy retirement.
