Lawrence Lilley
Building and Grounds Maintenance Mechanic and Trades Worker
Facilities Management

Larry Lilley was hired to work in the dish room of Wells Commons in 1983. From there he moved to the Bear’s Den and spent 13 years as a Utility Worker and an occasional cook.

In 1997 Larry transferred to the Electrical Shop as a Life Safety System Inspector. In this capacity he spent the majority of his time maintaining and testing fire extinguishers, but was also involved in testing fire alarm systems and emergency lights.

Larry’s excellent work habits and drive were rewarded when he was promoted to Building and Grounds Maintenance Mechanic and Trades Worker in 2004. In this role Larry’s responsibilities involve servicing and cleaning all the univents and unit heaters on campus, and, with over 200 buildings, it is certainly an understatement to say he is kept very busy. Despite this, Larry continues to help with lighting repairs and other jobs that require an extra set of hands.

In his spare time, Larry enjoys motorcycling, 4-wheeling and camping. He recently stepped down as the Town of Hudson’s Fire Chief after many years of service. His current interest is town politics, but he remains active in the fire department as a volunteer firefighter.

Larry is an excellent worker who takes pride in doing a job well. He is self-motivated, resourceful, and consistently gives his complete attention and effort to his work. Congratulations, Larry, for your 25 years of dedicated service and thank you for being such an exceptional employee. We are indeed lucky to have you here.
