Stephen Ringle
Exhibits Preparator, Art Collection
Museum of Art

Stephen Ringle has seen the thoughtful evolution of the Museum of Art throughout his 25 years of service to the University of Maine from the Museum’s early days in Carnegie Hall to its vibrant current location in the heart of downtown Bangor, (Steve has been the conscientious protector of the works of the University’s impressive art collections.)  He managed the incredible task of safely moving the works of art to their new home over five years ago. As Museum Registrar, his attention to details and professionalism is one of his greatest strengths.  Anyone who steps foot in his art prep room immediately understands his keen sense of organization.  He is a master at installing art work and has contributed so many visually pleasing exhibitions that have been enjoyed by thousands of individuals over the years.

Colleagues cite the value of Steve’s institutional memory and his willingness to share his knowledge.  He is always quick to lend a hand in the many projects required to make the Museum successful and meaningful to visitors. Steve brings an invaluable sense of humor, integrity and knowledge to the small team at the Museum.

Steve, thank you for your 25 years of outstanding service to the arts, the Museum and the University of Maine.
