Fred Robichaud
Custodian II
Facilities Management

Fred Robichaud began working for the Custodial Shop in 1984. He was first assigned to the Memorial Gym before moving to Alumni Hall, where he has spent the last 16 years of his career.

Shortly after his arrival at the Gym, he and his co-workers were given the daunting task of refinishing the gymnasium floor. Through their combined efforts, and with no additional help, this strenuous job was completed on schedule for the opening of school, demonstrating not only Fred’s ability, but his willingness to help out wherever he is needed.

In Alumni Hall Fred has received many letters and personal notes of praise and thanks. The building occupants find him a joy to work with and liken him to a ray of sunshine. He has consistently received recognition for his orderliness, judgment and ability to keep the building clean, despite the heavy traffic through mud season and winter snows.

Fred’s evaluations rate him as a high performer and he is cited as having a good understanding of the work needing to be performed and its impact on the University’s image. He is also noted for his judgment, attendance, communication, and output.

Fred’s interests outside of work are hunting and fishing. But, don’t ask him where his favorite fishing hole is or where he goes to hunt! Everyone knows a good sportsman never gives up those locations.

We thank you, Fred, for your 25 years of dependable, hard-working service and know you will continue to provide the University your best efforts. Congratulations and thank you!
