Employee and Retiree Recognition
The recognition activities are designed to provide an opportunity for the campus to collectively pay tribute to the university’s newest retirees, enjoy a moment of fellowship in an informal setting, and celebrate the dedication and loyalty of our longest serving employees. The banquets are held in May, generally the week after the University's commencement events.
Retiree Recognition Banquet
Employees who have or will be retiring during the current academic or fiscal year will be honored guests at this banquet. Colleagues and family members are invited to join University leaders to pay tribute to faculty and staff who are concluding their careers at the University of Maine. Employee Recognition and Achievement Banquet
Guests of honor will include employees who have achieved service records of 25, 35, and 45 years of continuous, regular service, along with the recipients of the Outstanding Employee and Outstanding Faculty awards for that year. Colleagues and supervisors are invited to join University leaders in honoring these employees. (Who is eligible to be recognized?)
