Veteran's Day

This memo will serve as a reminder that Veterans’ Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. 

Since classes are in session on this day, it is advisable to reduce work forces to the extent that most employees receive the day off, but sufficient coverage is maintained for all offices and shops to remain open and to operate effectively. 

This is a regular University holiday.  All full-time regular classified employees who are required to work must be paid holiday pay for regularly scheduled hours at straight time plus straight time for all hours worked or compensatory time off in accordance with appropriate policies and contractual agreements.
