Alternative Education Database

This resource guide database includes all known alternative education programs that currently are operating in Maine. This database is designed to help people locate programs in their area by town, city, county, or school district (e.g., SAD or Union). It provides general information pertaining to the program such as name and address, phone and fax numbers, contact person(s), e-mail and Web site addresses, grade levels served, etc.

General directions: To browse through the database, you can click on either the right or left pages on the book icon. To search for a particular program by county or other field, click once on the magnifying glass and it will provide you with a blank form (find mode). Type the variable in the appropriate field you want to search for (i.e., Penobscot in the county field), then click on 'Perform Find.' The list can be sorted by clicking once on the 'a to z' icon then follow the steps accordingly. Report any problems to Roxanne Lee at 581-2440 or roxanne.lee@umit.maine.edu.

This database also will be utilized for mass mailings to announce future workshops, conferences, as well as to send out new materials concerning alternative education.

If you operate an alternative education program, check out the database to determine if your program is listed. If it is not listed, or you wish to make any additions, deletions, or changes to your program’s listed information, please take a few minutes to complete and submit the form below.

Should you have further questions or comments about the resource guide database, please contact Roxanne Lee at 207-581-2440 or e-mail her at roxanne.lee@umit.maine.edu.
