It's that time again to Know Your Numbers......
Your Biometric Screening consists of:
Total Cholesterol (TC)
-HDL (good cholesterol)
-LDL (bad cholesterol)
Triglycerides
Glucose
Blood Pressure
Weight
Self Reported Height
Waist Measurement
The cholesterol and glucose screen is performed by a finger stick, where blood is drawn from the finger. We ask employees not to eat 12 hours prior to their appointment. This includes all foods (including coffee and candy) and liquids with the exception of water. Non fasting results will also be accepted, but results will differ clinically based on one’s choice to no eat prior to screening.
These numbers can be used to complete your health assessment. If you have received these results from your primary care physician since October 2011, you can use those to complete your health assessment. You can also obtain these numbers by making an appointment with your primary care provider as part of your preventive office visit.
