February 13th	14th	15th 1:00pm iBooks Author Build a book on your Mac, read it on your iPad. Available free on the Mac App store, iBooks Author is an amazing new app that allows anyone to create beautiful Multi-Touch textbooks ? and just about any other kind of book ? for iPad. With galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3D objects, and more, these books bring content to life in ways the printed page never could. iBooks Author makes it simple to flow in text, graphics, movies, and more, so your book looks exactly the way you want. Drag and drop a Pages or Microsoft Word document to the Book navigator to add it as a new section. Then, when you drag and drop in images, your type automatically flows around them. Slots 7/8	16th 2:00pm Pages (Apple Program) Part of Apple's iWork suite of document generation and editing tools. Pages is both a streamlined word processor and an easy-to-use page layout tool. It allows you to be a writer one minute and a designer the next, always with a perfect document in the works. Slots 7/8	17th
February20th	21st	22nd 2:00pm Appy Hour (iPad) This is a collaborative and collegiate session for instructors teaching using an iPad. Items discussed: iPad usage in the classroom, apps that help us teach better. Slots 5/8	23rd 2:00pm GarageBand Welcome to the school of rock. A Mac-size practice space. Your own recording studio. If you want to learn to create a podcast, play an instrument, write music, or record a song, GarageBand has everything you need. Share your GarageBand project as a podcast. Or create a radio-style show entirely in GarageBand. Record and edit a voiceover, add sound effects and jingles, and record interviews.
