Repair your XP: Norton RemovalTo begin the removal of Norton AntiVirus, click on start, then control panel.
If the control panel looks like the picture below, click on the "Switch to Classic View" link highlighted below.
Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
The Add/Remove Programs Window box should appear. Scroll down until you find Norton Antivirus and click the "Remove" button. Please note that the name may appear different depending on the particular version of the program you have installed.
Click the "Remove All" button.
If you're prompted about restoring the Windows Firewall to the previous state, choose "yes".
Norton AntiVirus should begin the removal process.
When prompted to restart your computer, choose "Yes". If you choose not to, you will need to restart your computer piror to installing Symantec AntiVirus.
