	Jeff Hecker Interim Dean Professor of Psychology jeff.hecker@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-2033 Jeff Hecker, Interim Dean and Professor of Psychology, oversees the departments, interdisciplinary programs, and centers that make up the multi-faceted College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He supports the College's faculty, staff and students in their teaching, scholarly and service pursuits, as he promotes the liberal arts and sciences as fundamental to an educated citizenry and modern workforce.
	Kathryn Allan Assistant to the Dean kathryn.allan@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-1954 Kathryn Allan provides administrative and clerical support to the Dean, coordinates a number of college-wide committees and events, supervises student employees, manages the dean's calendar and schedules various college meetings.
	Amy Fried Associate Dean for Research Associate Professor of Political Science amy.fried@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-3583 Amy Fried, Associate Dean for Research and Associate Professor of Political Science, supports the college's research mission and participates in program development, community engagement, and outreach efforts. She also attends to the college's graduate programs, which include most of the large Ph.D programs at the University of Maine.
	Kathryn Olmstead Associate Dean kathryn.olmstead@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-3844 Associate Dean Kathryn Olmstead represents the dean in providing academic services for undergraduate students, serving on university policy and college curriculum committees and coordinating external relations for the college.
	Catherine Metivier Administrative & Financial Officer catherine.metivier@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-3846 Catherine Metivier, Administrative & Financial Officer, manages human resource activities dealing with all faculty, professional and classified staffing. Monitors financial matters working closely with the budget analyst and the dean in setting college priorities. Provides training and consultation to chairs and directors in the college on a wide array of issues crucial to the management of academic departments/units.
	Mindy Kezis Student Academic Services Coordinator mindy.kezis@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-1987 Mindy Kezis, Student Academic Services Coordinator, works closely with the associate dean to provide general oversight for all academic services in the college, including services for incoming first-year, transfer and continuing students. Her areas of responsibility include decisions on requests for readmission, change of college and exceptions to academic policies and deadlines, and approval of leaves of absence, domestic and international study away, and transfer of course work for degree credit and applicability toward general education requirements.
	Donna Taylor-Schmidt Administrative Associate donna.taylor-schmidt@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-1961 Donna Taylor-Schmidt, Administrative Associate, is responsible for the day-to-day management of student services in the dean’s office. These include orientation and assigning advisors for new first-year students, processing credit evaluations and paperwork for transfer students, graduation checks, changes of colleges, majors and minors; incomplete grades, NCAA certification forms, registration, adding and dropping courses and general advising. She provides information in person and by phone with students, parents, faculty and staff.
	Carol Rickards Administrative Assistant carol.rickards@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-1952 Carol Rickards, Administrative Assistant, is the first person to greet visitors to the main college office in 100 Stevens Hall. She answers questions for parents and students by phone and in person, helping with everything from registration and readmission to study away and changing majors. She also assists office staff with other projects as needed.
	Marjorie Paul Records Technician II majorie.paul@umit.maine.edu (207) 581-1959 Marjorie Paul, Records Technician II, maintains databases for informational mailings to new-first-year and prospective students with an interest in one of the departments in the college, helps coordinate college participation in New Student Open Houses and assists student services staff.
