This laboratory focuses on biosensor research that is directed toward the development of new strategies, improvements, and instrumentation for the detection of bacterial and viral pathogens. Methods include combinations of several complementary recognition strategies, such as modified immunochemical and nucleic acid recognition/amplification, with physical and optical sensing platforms.
