A major component to the building is a state-of-the-art indoor rock climbing/training facility. Outdoor equipment rental service and administrative offices are also located in this building. Maine Bound is the outdoor program of the University of Maine. Started in 1983, Maine Bound's mission is to provide high quality and affordable instructional and recreational outdoor trips for a spectrum of ability levels. We offer several courses for academic credit as well. The Maine Bound leadership training program is among the best in the country and has been a model for several other universities.
