Swing Into Spring With
May Festival 2004
A Celebration of Generations

The third annual May Festival was held at the Bangor Elks Club on May 8, 2004. Everyone who attended felt the evening was a 'swinging' success!

Co-sponsored by the Eastern Agency on Aging, the swing dance celebrated healthy, active aging. Participants of all ages danced the night away to the spirited music of local band The Moon Puppies while dancers from the Back Door Dance Studio's Zoot Suit Review dance team entertained the crowd between band breaks with costumed performances of swing dance classics.

The Center on Aging would like to thank everyone who worked to plan the event as well as those who attended.

May Festival 2003

May Festival 2003 was held May 9-10 in historic Norumbega Hall, one of downtown Bangor 's architectural treasures. Subtitled "A Celebration of Generations," May Festival is meant to recognize and honor the important roles that older adults play in our families and communities. Guests came from all over to partake of a tasty luncheon catered by Killarney's, and to enjoy entertainment and informational sessions stretching over two full days. Generous community sponsors and supporters joined a roster of talented presenters and performers, as well as a dedicated and hard-working volunteer organizing committee, to put on a memorable program. Some of the festival highlights are featured in the photo album below.
