Lauren E. Storck is the Online Education Consultant at the UMCoA. She has a Doctorate in Psychology from The City University of New York, an AB from Barnard College, and is a licensed clinician, educator, and researcher since 1978. Prior academic affiliations include Clinical Faculty, Harvard Medical School (1987-2004); Research Affiliate, The Gerontology Center, Boston University (2001-2005); and teaching in the USA and overseas. Postdoctoral research and teaching in Psychology, Gerontology, and Group Dynamics includes an NIA-funded study of online communications among a large group of family caregivers, and a study of hospice caregivers' communications. Her Eldercare and Technology Matters Program delivers e-seminars online for healthcare providers. A recent publication (June 2005) in the Journal Group Analysis (Sage) entitled "Large Groups and Women Leadership: Caregiving for multiple authenticities." She is newly elected to the Management Board for an international association for group work. Other interests include social and cultural exchange, leadership and large groups, women's issues, and restoring an old saltwater farm.
