Drake Passage

Dr's Laura Robinson (WHOI) and Rhian Waller (UMaine) are leading a group of scientists and students to examine corals in the Drake Passage between the 9th May - 15th June. The primary goal of the cruise is to locate fossil and live populations of cold-water corals in this area to further understand climate, biogeography and connectivity across the Drake Passage through time.  Sebastian Velez,current undergrad student, and Chris Roy, current grad student, are participating in this cruise Updates on this cruise can be obtained by going to:  http://antarcticcorals.blogspot.com/
