Research interests

As a dual-degree student, my projects address both marine biology and associated policy. The policy aspect has been looking at the voluntary attendance at New England Fishery Management Council meetings. I look at distance traveled, association, meeting agenda, and policy outcomes. The biology aspect is currently looking at pictures of Closed Area I in Georges Bank and assessing differences in abundance of organisms living on the bottom of the sea, according to fishing pressure and bottom type.
