Research interests
I am currently investigating colloid size spectra as an indicator of the source and reactivity of colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) with the ultimate goal of improving the capability to forecast temporal and spatial patterns of CDOM in coastal waters. Specifically, I am characterizing the size distribution and absorbance spectra of algal-derived colloidal CDOM under varying growth conditions and investigating the effect of microbial and photochemical degradation on these characteristics.
